Christos Sotiropoulos (Greece)

Abstract

TikTok has become a popular social network among today’s students, with an average usage time of 82 minutes per day. This presentation aims to explore how educators can incorporate TikTok into their lessons, offering interactivity, creativity, and fun. It will cover what TikTok is, how it works, reasons for considering its use in the classroom, and ready-to-use lesson ideas. Educators can add value to their lessons by using TikTok as an educational tool. This presentation will examine the benefits of using TikTok in the 21st century classroom and provide guidance on how to find appropriate videos and create your own. It will also feature star teachers with millions of followers and inspiring influencers.

Participants in the presentation will gain access to a Padlet full of ideas and resources for incorporating TikTok into their lessons. They will learn how to introduce TikTok into their lessons and make it a valuable addition to their teaching toolbox.
