Strengthening German Language Teacher Training in Pakistan
ICC and Flying Teachers are pleased to announce German Language Teacher Training initiative under the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Centres for Migration and Development (ZME) / Talent Partnership with Pakistan (TP), co-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU). The initiative is being implemented in cooperation with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) and the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).
The project aims to strengthen Pakistan’s capacity for high-quality German language teaching by developing a sustainable pool of qualified language trainers. As part of this initiative, ICC and Flying Teachers will deliver a 16-week online EUROLTA teacher training programme to 50 current and aspiring language trainers, organised in two cohorts of 25 participants.
The programme focuses on enhancing pedagogical and didactic competencies, integrating digital teaching tools and practical classroom resources, and promoting learner-centred teaching methodologies aligned with international standards. The initiative also places a strong emphasis on inclusion, with a target of at least 50% women participants and 5% persons with disabilities.
Through this collaboration, ICC and Flying Teachers contribute to the development of a sustainable and qualified pool of German language trainers in Pakistan.
